"Finally prepared?" Adrians voice called over the comms to her partner, as Sylk made her entrance in the usual flash of light. It took the duo a little bit of time to get started on the bounty hunt they had aquired for a multitude of reasons, the utmost was readying themselves for the unknown. Sylk had never been to the Sharo sector of the net nor had she any experience with the types of viruses around here. She couldn't exactly just waltz in and fight one of its tougher enemies without some careful thought. That said the clear show of anxiousness as the spider's eyes darted around looking for an opponent told Adrian the Sylk would have just ran off to the battle regardless. "Adrian, Dear. You know I'm strong. Why should you have any doubts now about my ability to take on these little upstarts. What could a couple of dragons possibly do to harm me?" The spiders overconfidence was in full swing as she strolled casually through the net, Adrian wondering if her navi was actually restraining herself from running full tilt to start the hunt. If the increase in virus activity was enough to warrant a bounty though, perhaps the two wouldnt be waiting all that long to find out just how tough one of these Bluegon2 were. *Battle 1 ready! As Sylk began her conquest towards the viruses of the dragonic variety, she comes across a vast field of pure white snow as multiple viruses played about, two Shrimpy2's floating about and playing together, a large hole in the ground where a slumbering Snoozier would be heard snoozing away at and a sparking ball of electricity orbiting around slowly one of the three snow piles in the area. However, as Sylk drew near, a roar of anger sounded out in the distance, as a Bluegon2 made it's way to the battlefield, a Serpentine blue virus smashing up the snow panels in in the middle of the viruses as it pointed a large tallon towards Sylk, and if she looked to the left, a free BMD floating and hovering about, before turning back to the viruses and seeing them all getting ready for attack. -- Viruses -- [virus]Snoozier[/virus]: 120 HP [Snow] [Burrowed] [virus]Sparkler[/virus]: 160 HP [Snow] [Orbiting Snow Pile A] [virus]Shrimpy2[/virus] A: 180 HP [Snow] [virus]Shrimpy2[/virus] B: 180 HP [Snow] [virus]Bluegon2[/virus]: 290 HP [Broken] -- Navis -- Sylk.EXE: 200 HP [Normal] -- Terrain -- 45% Normal 45% Snow 10% Broken -- Objects -- BMD: 20 HP [Normal] [One action away from Sylk, to the left] Snow Pile A: 40 HP [Snow] Snow Pile B: 40 HP [Snow] Snow Pile C: 40 HP [Normal] -- Rogue Battle 1 Ready? the spider was a little dissapointed as she initially began her hunt. nothing but a few ordinary viruses just doing whatever it is they did when not causing trouble. Sylk was contemplating changing up her strategy and trying to lure it out when the roar resounded. A toothy grin began to spread. " Heh, you think I'm afraid of you?" Snidely Sylk gestured toward the dragon, her immitation aura taking shape and protecting her from the cold of the Sharo temperatures. The virus was in for a nasty surprise since her traps were already starting to take form. Every second that passed tiny invisible threads spread throughout the net creating the perfect battlefield for the spider. Everything would soon be at her control and fall to her whims. As if stepping out from Sylk's shadow a second spider entered into the fray almost identical to the navi, making a break for the right as it moved to draw the attention of the enemies. As Sylk prepared the stage, Adrian was already following through with the usual tactics when they found unique or interesting targets, sending Sylk a trusted sidekick for the fight. Out from beneath the snow popped a fuzzy little virus, some reminance of it clinging to the bandcoons fur and forming what could be mistaken for a thin and curly moustache. Sylk glanced towards her companion and with a nod he knew all he had to do, responding with a noise that could be mistaken for the contained chuckle of an old time villain before bounding across the snow towards the Bluegon2. Adrian connected two more battlechips to her partner, one resulting in a quick flash of blue light around the spiders body before immidiately fading as if nothing had even happened. The other was very obviously an attack. Sylk's multiple arms rose up infront of her, and pure electrical energy began to collect in her palms. The middle set of limbs combined forces to contain a larger mass between the two as the attack rapidbuilt build up within her grasp as she added her own power unto the chip. A Dense radiant form began to take hold as the breaking point hit, only to have Sylk shift hear hands to give the flow a direction and escape. It poured out and exploaded forth in 5 streaks of light with a screach as it raced towards the Bluegon2. As Sylk had been charging the attack however her threads continued to weave their way into the area, slowly working their way into the terrain. The normally non-conductive snow was now trapped heavily with her thin metalic threads which now covered the terrain which the iruses stood. It was time to send one final attack their way. First a crackle. Then a spark. Soon the air was filling with the fleeting images of arcing lightning as Sylk mustered up her energy once more. It jumped and danced between the invisible strings of her web as though flowing through the air on it's own, following the lines and gathering up in designated locations at Sylk's command. The stronger the charger the more visible it came as she further boosted it's strength with Adrian's help. By now 12 orbs of lightning danced through the air at high speeds towards the remaining 4 viruses, their movement irregular as they split and surrounded each of their targets with Sylk's guidance, ready to crash down and vaporize anything caught within their light. As the battle kicked off, the viruses weary of their prey in front of them, the Bluegon2 roaring ever louder as the Bandcoon immediately drove it's self at the dragonic virus, rummaging around the virus' data before yelping out, a large orb of rainbow colored data being extracted from the virus, the Bandcoon having grabbed what it needed, running off before potential counter attacks (Sylk get after battle: The second it hit the navi, a Geyser came up under the Bluegon2, immediately being hit with a counter attack. The other viruses immediately backing away slowly as the Bluegon2 was vaporized immediately afterwards by her Arsenal2, it being zapped into little more than junk data as the Shrimpy2's mounted a counter offensive, bubbles flying at the spider navi. One missing to the right as she had dodged, but the other smashing directly into her body, bubbles creating a V shape coming out on either side of her. And unfortunately for Sylk, hit the BMD without mercy, deleting it into more junk. However, as the field below them turned to metal, their fates sealed. As soon as Sylk had deleted the offending viruses, and probably collected her rewards from the battle, a masculine, buff male navi with clip-on Bunny ears, a red sack slung over his shoulder and wearing what could only be called a "Christmas themed" bunny suit in alternating red and white stripes. The navi standing about the same height as Sylk and having what could only be called superficial bunny-like features, a little black nose with whiskers and a pair of buck teeth in the shape of a rabbit's, as well as a cotton tail in black. The navi would stroll over towards Sylk with his sack slung over his back. Hohoho~ Good work there sweet cheeks! he called with a wave from afar, his feet clacking on the metallic panels with every step, reaching into the sack and pulling out a BMD for the spider huntress navi. Off-season work, I WAS supposed to get a break after christmas, but you know how things go. Overtime pay is great though. Anyways. Saw the BMD that you had in your battle get destroyed from an errant shot by those annoying shrimps. Here's a replacement, mimic free. Be a good girl and I might come visit you later on in the year with another freebie~ he said simply, giving Sylk a wink and a smile before walking off, his feet clacking on the panels until he was gone. Afterwards, Sylk's BMD opened up to reveal it's contents. Sylk GET: [chip=Quake2,f] |

Sylk clicked her tongue in frustration. The battle was over, but not only did they steal potential treasure from her she was more annoyed that one of them actually managaed to land a shot. She wasn't willing to admit it was her rushing to get the battle started, causing her to make more mistakes than usual. If it werent for the work of her trusty Bandcoon she might have even ran off to go take on everything in sight right then and there. She gave the cute little creature a pat on the head, it joyfully squeeked before dissapearing to wherever it was they went. The spider was about to continue on her hunt, but she was momentarily caught off guard being approached by a mysterious navi. "Sweet cheecks?" She mumbled confused under her breath as the navi seemed to ramble on for a moment about having to work. Sylk was about to reprimand him for wasting her time until he pulled out a gift for her. " Oh uh... thanks?" She wasn't exactly sure how to process the series of events. "The net is full of wierd things, isn't it..." "Pretty much." *Battle 2 ready. Bluegon2 hunt continue!* |

After clearing out the first round of viruses, Sylk moved onwards through the Sharo network, looking for more viruses to hunt. The path that she took became narrower and narrower, until she came upon a dead end overlooking a small frozen lake. The lake had sheer cliffs about it, save for the dead end she was on, which led to a small slope leading into the lake. The lake itself wasn't very interesting, looking like a less-traveled area. Cracks ran through the surface of the lake, though if Sylk looked a little closer, she would be able to see something in the middle. Unfortunately for her, she would suffer a bit of a slip, and accidentally fell down the slope that she was on. Waiting for her at the bottom was a collection of viruses, which just so happened to be trying to get up the slope that she had just come down from. A trio of mollusk-like Nautilus, accompanied by a couple of Slimey viruses glared back at her, without so much as a hint of friendliness. From her lower vantage point, however, she could see the thing in the middle of the lake that she wasn't able to see before-- yet another Bluegon had appeared! Guess Wrangler wasn't kidding about their apparent rampant status. -- Viruses -- [virus]Nautilus2[/virus] A: 140 HP (50 HP BubbleWrap) (Clustered together near Sylk, Ice) [virus]Nautilus2[/virus] B: 140 HP (50 HP BubbleWrap) (Clustered together near Sylk, Ice) [virus]Nautilus2[/virus] C: 140 HP (50 HP BubbleWrap) (Clustered together near Sylk, Ice) [virus]Slimer[/virus] A: 150 HP (Behind Nautilus, a little back, Ice) [virus]Slimer[/virus] B: 150 HP (Behind Nautilus, a little back, Ice) [virus]Bluegon2[/virus]: 290 HP (Very middle of frozen lake, Missing) -- Navis -- Sylk.EXE: 177 HP (Ice) -- Terrain -- 40% Cracked (Surrounding Bluegon in a wide circle) 55% Ice (Ice lake) 5% Missing (Hole in the middle of Cracked terrain, 1 requires movement through Cracked terrain) -- Rogue Battle 2 Ready? The net grew considerably colder as Sylk ventured in, a slight shiver running up her spine as her feet tred carefully along the frozen ground. Unfortunately it didn't help much, fighting back a slew of curses as her footing was swept up from beneath her thanks to the slippery slope. It was a fairly fast trip to the bottom, faster than the time it took for her to get up and stable once more so she could take in her surroundings. " You Okay? That looked unpleasent. " Adrian chimed in, a little concerned for Sylk's safety. "Just. Fine. Thank You." The tone of irritation in her voice growing with each Syllable as her many hands brushed herself off. It was at this moment that Sylk noticed the gathering before her. If this was their idea of a trap it was about to backfire on them. " Which is a lot more than i can say about these viruses in a second. Adrian, if you could be so kind?" As Sylk waiting for Adrian to get things prepared she was already making a move to give herself a more favorable chance in the area. Almost instantly her threads spread out from her position in all directions covering a large area around her. Some of the finer and harder to see threads continued to weave their way into the net helping Sylk get a better layout of the enemy movements as well as any forms of incoming attacks as she readied herself to fight. The Aura-like ability she had copied from the enemies in her past began to take shape as it drew power from her own webs this time as she turned her anger towards the group in front of her. "Ready when you are." Adrian dropping the chip into the P.E.T. selecting one based on the clustered enemy group nearby. She prepared a second chip just in case Sylk looked to be in any immidiate danger. The spider kept her many eyes fixated on the targets, preparing to evade if needed as lightning coursed throughtout her body. Meanwhile Sylk's double made another appearance, ready to take a second crack at distracted enemies. This time the hollogram rushed straight for the Bluegon2 hoping to draw it's attention as the real Sylk dispatched of the larger number. " Your opponent is me, you scaley monstrosity! Give it your best shot before i crush you into data!" It taunted as it zigzag'd towards the dragon. It followed the harsh words up with some appropriate use of her multiple arms, using as many as possible to gesture obscenely at the beast for good measure. It was at that moment Sylk had prepared the chip data, extending an arm towards the group of aquatic and jelly based enemies, unleashing a blast of electrical current which seemed to amplify off the spiders threads and increase in potency. As it neared the middle most enemy it exploaded in multiple arcs of lightning striking at everything surounding it as well. She clearly had no intention of letting them off easy. ------- Turn Splice ------ Summary

A little miffed by the slipup that had her unceremoniously entering into the virus enclave, Sylk's reaction to the viruses was to first respond by surrounding herself with a dim yellow glow, all derived from the electrical webbing that she had spread out over the area. The webbing had also repaired some of the cracked ice, so the path to the dragon in the middle of the lake was now clear. Her adversaries weren't one to sit around waiting for her to finish, however, as the Nautilus and the Slimer dogpiled her. Being mobbed by the viruses in such a tight area wasn't easy for her to avoid, and she was only able to evade damage from two of the Nautilus' AquaTowers, with her barrier absorbing the third. The Slimers were unabated in their offense, slamming themselves against Sylk's body and threatening to add to her limb count by snapping them in half. (-45/2) (-45/2) Meanwhile, the decoy that she had sent forward to the Bluegon to distract it seemed to have the opposite effect, as it saw the diversion for what it was, and saw it as a declaration of hostility. Seeing past the hologram, it swept up the icy waters from around it and caused it to ripple beneath Sylk's feet. Unable to see the attack coming, she took a hefty amount of damage from it as well. (-70/2) Of course, Sylk wasn't about to take all of the attacks lying down, and unleashed her counteroffensive in the form of an electrical storm. The high voltage roasted two of the mollusk-like Nautilus, as well as one of the Slimers near her. -- Viruses -- [virus]Nautilus2[/virus] A: DELETED [virus]Nautilus2[/virus] B: 140 HP (50 HP BubbleWrap) (Clustered together near Sylk, Metal) (1 Action Remaining) [virus]Nautilus2[/virus] C: DELETED [virus]Slimer[/virus] A: DELETED [virus]Slimer[/virus] B: 150 HP (Next to Sylk, Metal) (1 Action Remaining) [virus]Bluegon2[/virus]: 290 HP (Very middle of frozen lake, Missing) (1 action left) -- Navis -- Sylk.EXE: 97 HP (Metal) (HardBody/Accuracy Enhancement) (Barrier Broken!) Sylk gritted her teeth as she fought through the pain. These viruses were tougher than she was used to, even with a clear advantage in her favor. There was no way she was going to let this shame slide of course but first she need a better plan than shock everything into deletion. She was in pretty tough shape as it was, so first and foremost she needed to refresh herself. It seemed like Adrian was already on the same page, as a chip was loaded into the PET. "Here we go, get yourself some healing. Not risking anything, here." Sylk happily took the Totem3, summoning it's data to the side. it's faces spun around briefly as it began to choose it's function, and as it came to a halt it began to glow a bright red. Soon sylk too was glowing, as her woulds began to dissipate. The Spider let out a relaxing sigh as the pain seemed to vanish from her body. "How about some defenses as well?" The spider added, clearly not looking to take any more hits to the face than needed. She may have been tough, but even she wouldn't last forever. One more chip added to the PET, and as quickly as it was grasped by Sylk is seemingly vanished just as fast. The red glow around her faded, and now only a faint light blue remained to replace it. Everything was set, and now it was time to take revenge for that pain. "Thank you dear, thats perfect. now, let's get this over with shall we?" The spider couldn't help but flash a hungry, toothy grin. it was time to go on the offensive. Meanwhile in the distance Sylk's clone was offended the viruses had just ignored her, and furious. "Alright you piles of junk data, who do you think you are to just ignore me, huh? I'm going to crush that scalie body of yours, along with all your friends into dust and sell you as a novelty item in my shop, you over sized trash!" Verbally abusing the poor things, as she flipped them off. As she spoke she seemingly talked with her many hands with various movements and gestures not fit for PG television, as if trying to get their attention or provoke them. Probably both. meanwhile the real Sylk was building up a heavy charge of electricity, growing exponentially as she began to focus it into her palms. Her anger was harnessed, focusing her attention on the viruses as the orbs of energy began to form. She was perfectly in the zone, locking onto her enemies. Soon a flash of light as a the first shot was launched towards the closest target, set to blow up the Slimer nearby. The electricity continued to build and fire off rapidly one after the other, picking different targets seemingly striking at random with each shot, and yet still dividing the strikes evenly among her enemies. She was ready to destroy each and every one of them all at once. Summary Edited by Raikou, May 14 2018, 04:30 PM.

Restoring her body to at least near-prime fighting condition with a Totem chip (+90), Sylk activated the AntiAqua trap-activated defense, while the Nautilus belched out another line of geysers before the trap activated. Surprisingly enough, her proximity to the virus actually ensured that it passed right by her. Close calls continued to be the theme of the round as the Bluegon began its attack, only to be countered by the AntiAqua defense and dealing a large amount of damage to it, as its own breath exploded in its mouth. Sylk's subsequent ClusterShot then roared out across the battlefield, reducing the entire opposition to cinders, with nary a mark on her own self. -- Viruses -- [virus]Nautilus2[/virus] A: DELETED [virus]Nautilus2[/virus] B: DELETED [virus]Nautilus2[/virus] C: DELETED [virus]Slimer[/virus] A: DELETED [virus]Slimer[/virus] B: DELETED [virus]Bluegon2[/virus]: DELETED -- Navis -- Sylk.EXE: 187 HP (Metal) (HardBody/Accuracy Enhancement) -- Terrain -- 20% Cracked (Behind Bluegon in a wide arc) 25% Ice (Ice lake) 50% Metal (Centered around Sylk) 5% Missing (Hole in the middle of Cracked terrain, one movement away) -- Rogue Battle 2, Victory!! -- Rewards: [chip=MetaGel2,c] Battlechip, 3600z, 52 BugFrags, +1 Bluegon2 Bounty |

Sylk let out a few huffs as she caught her breath, the fight taking more out of her than it should have. Was she out of shape? Was that even possible for a navi? It felt like she hadn't done this in forever and it was showing. It only took a few more deep breaths before she got her rhythm back returning to her confident self in the process. She took a moment to survey what was left of the battlefield, mostly littered with fried data, but a decent amount of zenny could be found scattered about. Her eye's briefly lit up as she found and absorbed the MetaGel2, contemplating how useful it could be down the line. Certainly a nice upgrade to some of her other chips. "Well now, that could have gone better. Maybe a little more practice is needed. Shall I find another group, maybe?" A quick flash of her sharpened fangs as she spoke. "Hey, you do whatever you feel comfortable with. Just don't complain if you bite off more than you can chew." " Sure, sure. Whatever you say dear. " She teased, continuing her journey further into the winter wonderland that was sharo. " You should know by now, my bite can be pretty deadly." [Ready for battle 3, Blugon2 hunt continue!] |

Eager to prove that she wasn't losing her edge, and that the spider did indeed still have fangs, Sylk continued deeper into the frozen network in search of more prey. What she happened upon before long was a something of a lake, decorated with streamers running from various poles set into the edges. Many of the streamers were broken and fluttered down, forgotten, and many of the supporting poles were tilted or had even fallen in. the lake itself was frozen solid, but in a few places the ice was cracked, and showed a cold, freezing black below. A number of Pengi skidded about on the ice all the same, and further back towards the centre a raised platform tiered up three large steps, to where two viruses circled each other, almost like a centrepiece. One looked like a sun, the other like a crescent moon. Before the podium, much closer to where Sylk happened upon this sight, some of the cracks in the ice came together to form a deep black hole, and another of her quarry rose from it, frosted breath spreading about as it looked around for something to take offence at. As Sylk wandered through the frozen wonderland she could hear the soft crunch of snow beneath her bare feet with every step. Perhaps because of the adrenaline she hadn't noticed the seemingly increasing cold the further she traveled. She couldn't help to tremble slightly from a shiver taking hold of her body, a feeling she had never really been accustomed to. Sylk couldn't help but wonder what type of navi could enjoy such weather, aside from those pesky aquas, eliciting a sigh made visible from the weather. Her body stopped as she came across a dilapidated area, what looked like it used to be a celebrated rink now fallen to the hands of viruses. Sylk wondered if they had taken over, or just found it and decided to use it for it's intended purpose as she watched the penguins play among the ice. She was about to leave them be for only a moment as she watched her target makes it's presence known before her. Had it been smart it would have remained hidden from her sight. "Target acquired, my dear Adrian. I hope you have some nice toys ready for me to play with?" The spider grin as she took a battle stance, the quick shifting of her feet kicking up a small cloud of powdery white. "Let's just clear away some of the fodder first, before we deal with the bigger threat. These should work." Adrian's hands were already fiddling with the chips for the fight, as though they already had plan, Not that Sylk's attitude ever made it easy to do so. Before the snow could settle back down at her feet, Sylks invisible metallic threads were already engulfing the area around her, rapidly splitting and multiplying among the structures and terrain. Stretching her web so thin rendered it incapable of holding onto her prey but that was never the intent here. Where was the fun of taking out useless enemies? She felt every movement vibrating through the many lines leading back to her, knowing exactly what her opponents were up to as she fought. With every twitch, she knew exactly where to fire. Every motion telling her when and where to dodge. Sylk's instincts and awareness were focused to their maximum as the first bits of chip data was prepared. Flashes of light coated her her right arms, the heat from the fire chip cause steam to rise from the barrel even before she attacked. As she braced each weapon with a hand from her left side, she could feel the cold trying to combat the heat on the steel exterior as it began to drag it's temperature down. Sylk of course didn't give it the time to complete it's task as she took aim swiftly, her multiple sets of eyes picking out three sets of targets before letting the blazing magnum rounds rip through the air. Nothing but steam was left in the air around her as the guns vanished, Sylk already moving onto the next attack with a fun little chip she had never had the pleasure of using before. She licked her lips in anticipated at just how effective it could be in this winter environment. The spider flung her arms forth fiercely, as several of her steely webs loosed from the tips of her fingers. Her focus was on the poor little penguins atop the ice in front of her. The threads moved to engulf her enemies, wrapping and twisting in the air under her expert control like a puppeteer. Once she was confident in her work, her hands closed around the threads and with one hefty pull she yanked anything caught within her trap onto the snow ridden terrain sprinkled all around her. With a toothy grin she followed by slamming her hands into the ground releasing the energy of the stored chip Adrian had granted her. The snow began to rise and swirl slowly at first but began to pick up speed exponentially as a tiny draft quickly worked itself into three massive blizzards focused on her poor helpless victims location. As the attacks began to merge into one singular raging storm Sylks body began to glow a faint blue as Adrian installed a defensive countermeasure onto the spider, if only for the chance that a virus managed to escape Sylk's grasp. Sylk turned her attention to the dragon and one final chip was loaded up into the PET. it just so happened to be one of Sylk's favorites. The snow around her began to move ever so slowly about her feet as the chip materialized. Sneaking. Stalking. Tunneling about the snow, before a mound seemed to rise up on its own. Sylk knelt down, brushing the pile of snow from atop the Bandcoons head, before giving it a playful little pat and a scritch behind it's ears. " You know what to do, little one." As a single clawed finger pointed towards the Bluegon2 ahead. " Sic 'em!" With a squeak of confidence, the creature bounded across the snow with vigor as it looked to please it's master. It remained unphased as it's tiny paws hit the cold ice prompting it to skid along it's tiny fluffy body towards the menacing dragon. It tried to use it's claws to steer it's trajectory, and push it self faster as it began to hurtled forward. As it approached the hole and it's mission, the bandcoon launched itself off the ground kicking with it's paws and it's tail into the air, trying to snatch the data from the dragon as it passed by from the momentum with a preemptively triumphant squeak. summary

As Sylk moved to engage, spreading her webs across the field and boosting her senses, the paired sun and moon viruses lit up briefly with matched blue and red lights, giving off a quiet chime that rang around the ice rink and seemed to alert other other viruses. The bluegon, in front of them roared again and exhaled a broad frost breath in her direction, but the spider was too nimble to be caught by the attack. The sun virus paused in its rotation to send a thin energy beam in Sylk's direction; focused as she was on dodging the dragon's breath weapon, this bolt caught her and chewed away her protective barrier, despite her efforts to avoid it. Sylk's first goal was to clear out the other targets, and started with a heavy magnum round directed at the centrepiece viruses, and a shot for the swirly at the edge of the field. The Swirly, mostly oblivious, was annihilated in a cloud of frost and steam before it knew what was happening. The other two shots seemed clear as well, but though the sun virus was promptly blasted away, the moon-shaped one had just curled around behind its partner as she fired, and the destructive round failed to connect. This breakout of hostility seemed to get the attention of the Penguins and they began to slide towards Sylk, their bodies gleaming with a slick, icy hardness agaisnt the ice. The central one launched a lazy snowflake that drifted back and forth towards the spider woman, but it was almost immediately neutralised as a countering geyser of water burst up beneath it for its trouble. It flipped the penguin over and drew some indignant sounds from the critter, but against the slicked hardness of its body, the counter attack seemed to have little effect. The other two took this aggression against their friend with far more hostility, and cast faster, sharper blades of ice in Sylk's direction, though the spider-woman was quite capable of weaving between the attacks unscathed. Her own answer came a moment after, in the form of a masterfully constructed marionette trap of webs that caught up and pulled all three penguins towards her, off the ice and face-first into the bank of snow to either side of Sylk. An array of indignant, if slightly muffled sounds came from the viruses scattered about her. As they landed, the more lethal side of her attack took hold, whipped the trio up into the air in a bursting flurry of up-heaved snow and cutting the surprised viruses apart. The remains landed in chunks on the freshly cleared ice, unable to benefit from it any more. Across the ice rink, the Bluegon tried again, this time blasting a directed wave of icy frost at Sylk with more precision, yet once again she managed to move her body away from harm with grace. Once again, however, she was caught off guard by the remaining paired virus, who blasted her with a solid beam of energy, fast and accurate. This one caught her squarely and though her body was braced against most forms of direct damage the beam crushed into her with a shocking level of impact as her own rigid exoskeleton cracked and shattered rather than yielding. While this was going on, her loyal bandcoon darted out across the ice on its own mission, while Sylk occupied the viruses, but ill-luck was dogging her this morning, and the small fuzzy creature slipped on the ice as it made to leap at the dragon, crashing down flat and skidding past it in a rapid spin. -=Ice-skaters=- [virus]Lunaroid2[/virus]: 140Hp [Cracked][On top podium platform] [virus]Solarite2[/virus]: DELETED [virus]Penga[/virus] A: DELETED [virus]Penga[/virus] B: DELETED [virus]Penga[/virus] C: DELETED [virus]Swirly[/virus]: DELETED [virus]Bluegon2[/virus]: 290Hp [Missing][Centre of the lake] -=Dragon-Hunter=- Sylk.Exe: 107Hp [Snow][Near edge of the lake][HardBody] -=Formerly Festive Rink=- 60% [terrain]Ice[/terrain] [Large frozen lake] 20% [terrain]Cracked[/terrain] [Scattered patches; around the missing, and on top of the podium] 10% [terrain]Snow[/terrain] [Around the lake edges] 10% [terrain]Missing[/terrain] [Two holes, one in the centre of the lake, and one near the left edge] Edited by Rogan, May 21 2018, 02:59 AM.

Sylk had little time left to react, her instincts yelling at her to take cover and hide. She threw down a Totem3 nearby to heal herself and used all the strength she could muster to leap behind the Pillar into cover. Her hardened frame was cracked and broken in multiple places. She had done all she could to keep from yowling in pain after that last attack. A wound on her lip from where she had bit to keep it shut. it was pretty obvious to anyone that might she her that parts of her data were unstable. Her lowest left arm in particular was heavily damaged, her carapace fractured all along it. Sylk rested her head against the back of the totem as it's healing magic slowly helped her stabilize herself. She needed to come up with a plan. From her hiding spot Sylk created her decoy and planned to use it for it's intended purpose. It moved off to the left, attempting to grab the attention of the virus's by keeping on her toes as though she was trying to evade any incoming attacks. The Decoy pointed a clawed hand towards the Lunaroid as the real sylk activated her Arsenal2, the energy began to draw into the air and crackle. As electricity began to build and lap at the metallic threads hidden all around, the fake sylk spoke up. " You think you're going to get away with hitting me with that beam of yours? Right back at you!" The copy proclaimed as the main laser fired, soon followed by 4 more smaller beams circling around the largest of them. Meanwhile, lodged in yet another pile of snow Sylks cute and fluffy companion found itself completely covered after it's embarrassing attempt at thievery. An initial shake proved futile as the snow seemed to cling to it's fur now, the moisture from sliding on the ice helping it cling to it's exterior. Not one to be detoured, for fear of being scorned by it's lovely master, the Bandcoon picked it self back up and this time slowly but surely began to sneak across the ice with it's claws out to keep from sliding. With it's white camouflage and the dragon focused on Sylk, the coon snuck ever closer waiting for the perfect moment to strike. it's eyes seemed to glint as it took the first opening, and leapt once more at the virus to nab that sweet, sweet data for the Mistress. If her luck had panned out all that would be left was the dragon. Her demeanor was a little more focused after taking the brunt of so much damage, and while normally she could play around with her prey a bit more, there was a reason this thing had a bounty. She began to wonder if she was getting self reliant on her favorite cheap lately, but the fact of the matter was it packed the most punch and in a dangerous network safety came first over being fun and repetitive. She leapt once more as she left cover to the back and right of she she had hid. The spider used her metal webing to focus and amplify her electrical currents as the air began to heat. The it didn't take long for the intensity to increase and the glowing white orbs began to form as plasma in the air. Her eyes were focused on the battlefield, on her target. Her body could feel the movements of her enemies. She became consumed with the fight and she was prepared. She unleashed all her power and sent 12 streaks of plasma hurtling across the field with perfect focus. If this thing survived, she might be in serious trouble. Summary

Badly injured, the spider employed some temporary trickery and deceit to steal a window and heal her wounds. The moon virus, with its partner destroyed, began to violently bombard the ice rink with more laser beams, no longer pausing to spin or move. It tried to focus first on the decoy that ran out, but the real Sylk emerged while it was distracted and returned fire with her own heavy arsenal of laser fire. The main bolt pummelled the virus, and three of the tracers found thier mark as well, and together it was enough to knock the moon off its pedestal and send it crashing down into silence and stillness. The Bluegon, realising that, for the moment, the crossfire of lasers weren't actually aiming at it, decided to get out of the way. It began to duck down into its hole, but Sylk's eager bandcoon ally chased after it, leaping on with renewed vigour. Both the critter and the dragon vanished into the hole for several seconds, and when the ice dragon emerged from the hole on the far side of the ice rink, the bandcoon was clutched, claws tense, to its face, holding on for dear life and wide-eyed. Only it knew what it had seen down there, and it seemed too shaken to say. The dragon, of course, did not appreciate having a terrified bandcoon for a blindfold, and began to thrash and roar, trying to shake it off. This gave Sylk the opportunity she needed to take aim with one of her more favoured chips and release a storm of electrical shots. Nine of the twelve hammered into the dragon's body, and it howled, belching icy mist into the air before falling backwards against the ice and going still. The bandcoon skidded away again, to fetch up in another snow-drift, but this time when it pulled itself out and shook off, it returned to Sylk with a prize worth handing over to her. -=Ice-skaters=- [virus]Lunaroid2[/virus]: DELETED [virus]Solarite2[/virus]: DELETED [virus]Penga[/virus] A: DELETED [virus]Penga[/virus] B: DELETED [virus]Penga[/virus] C: DELETED [virus]Swirly[/virus]: DELETED [virus]Bluegon2[/virus]: DELETED -=Dragon-Hunter=- Sylk.Exe: 197Hp [Snow][Near edge of the lake][HardBody] -=Formerly Festive Rink=- 60% [terrain]Ice[/terrain] [Large frozen lake] 20% [terrain]Cracked[/terrain] [Scattered patches; around the missing, and on top of the podium] 10% [terrain]Snow[/terrain] [Around the lake edges] 10% [terrain]Missing[/terrain] [Two holes, one in the centre of the lake, and one near the left edge] -=Battle 3, Victory!=- Spoils: 4350 Pickpocket: [chip=WaterStream,f] |

Sylk let out a hefty sigh as the battle came to a close. She was a lot more worn out than usual. Was she out of practice? maybe it was just as simple and changing up her abilities. It'd been a while since she let Adrian do any real updates and maintenance, mostly since Sylk wasn't a fan of the whole process. maybe she was overdue. The spider pet her furry little pal, gladly taking the gift it brought her, before moving to collect the rest of her spoils. "I'll be back for the rest of you lot later." She muttered, clearly not giving up on the dragon hunt. With that, she logged out for the moment. [Jack out] Edited by Raikou, May 25 2018, 11:07 PM.

[Jack In] It was only a matter of a day before the lovely spider heroine returned to the net with a flash of light, ready to face the evil dragons terrorizing the land. Well, maybe less of a heroine and more of a walking nuke ready to lay waste to this side of the sharo net. This predator certainly wasn't going to entertain the idea of being some virus' prey, and she had a axe to grind with these monsters from her last visit. As calm and collected as Sylk was trying to look, it was pretty obvious she was looking for a grudge match. " Look, just take it easy will you? No need to go running half-cocked into a group of enemies. With those modifications it should make hunting a lot easier." Adrian would have tried to talk strategy, but honestly sylk had the sort of habit to just wreck everything anyways. most times it worked out pretty well. Who knew running a chip business would net you a strong set of chips? " Adrian, darling, I'm perfectly capable of taking on these underwhelming dragons. I was just a little rusty. It's nothing to worry about, dear." Limbering up as she spoke, cracking her joints with a few swift motions. " Now the only question is, do I have to go looking, or are they going to come to me?" |

A gust of wind blows across the net, bringing in leaves that swirl to form... Druidman. A Druidman that, for some reason, formed thirty feet above the ground, and just as inexplicably, a frozen wasteland rather than an ultramodern satellite network. "Uh, duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude!!!" he yelped as he began to plummet towards the ground at an alarming speed, smashing into a snowdrift next to a lifesized statue of a woman. "Oh, piss!" came Steve's reply, a bit too late. "Sorry, pal!" he added unhelpfully. A muffled grunt from the snow pile was Druidman's only reply. |
